Day 1

Arrival and check-in.

Meet the rest of your new Mavens Retreat friends. After a delicious dinner, you’ll cap off the night with some gentle movement to help you unwind from the stress of travel and slip into the deepest sleep of your life.

Day 2

Building Sustainable Strength

When you know how to move smarter you can build core strength and prevent injuries just from the way you move. I’ll teach you the BIG 3 movements, foundational for a healthy (and sustainable) strength building practice.

Day 3

Start With Your Center

We’ll work on the techniques that to help you build sustainable core strength from the inside out. Plus, when you know how to start from your center, every move you do continues to build strength, instead of wearing you down. Most injuries happen because of a lack of core coordination and strength, and when you know how to move smarter, you’ll continue to get stronger in a body that is structurally sound.

Day 4

Bodywork 101

Learn how to incorporate therapy ball massage into your regular wellness routine so you don’t have to wait for a monthly massage. Consistent bodywork improves tissue health, enhances circulation and blood flow, and reduces full-body tension. (Can you say goodbye tension headaches!?)

Your AmplifyU Plan

Tie everything you’ve learned together with your personalized mobility workout plan (aka the AmplifyU Plan) with the perfect blend of bodywork, stretching, and strength for your body. When is retreat?

May 17-21, 2023 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Where is the event being held?

The retreat will be in a private villa in Puerto Vallarta that is located 1 mile from Old Town and 25m to the beach.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yep! You can pay a $600 deposit followed by two equal payments. Payment 1 is due February 1, 2023. Payment 2 is due March 1, 2023. Last opportunity for payment plans is February 19, 2023. There is a $50 one-time fee for payment plans. See the full terms and conditions for details.

What if I need to cancel?

Your payment is refundable, excluding the $600 deposit, if canceled before March 1, 2023.

There are no refunds after March 1, 2023.

I strongly recommend trip insurance (especially if you are concerned about emergency cancellation).

What’s included? What isn’t?

Included: 4 nights stay in a private room with ensuite bath, daily movement and mindfulness classes, 3 daily meals, snacks and drinks, equipment gratuity, and taxes.

NOT included: airfare, and any add-ons.

What should I wear?

Bring comfortable clothes you can move in. You’ll want something for movement in the morning and something for relaxing/activities in the afternoon.

You don’t need shoes for meditation or movement, but will probably want at least a pair of sneakers/hiking shoes and flip flops.

Bring a swimsuit if you want to go to the pool, hot tub, or ocean.

Is this only for Movement Mavens?

You do not need to be a current Movement Maven to come on retreat. The retreat is open to all women and femmes.

Can I bring my family?

This is an adults-only retreat for women and femmes. This is your chance to unwind and relax without any responsibilities so you are welcome to leave the rest of your crew at home 😉

I'm not in shape! Is this still right for me?

All classes are custom-tailored to all levels of ability and strength. The hike and other activities are completely optional. Most attendees have had an injury, surgery, or other pain that they’re managing. You’ll be supported wherever you’re at and get help to build your strength and help you get out of pain.

What if I don't know anyone? Can I come alone?

Absolutely! Most of our retreaters are returnees and/or traveling alone. You will be with your people. I promise. And, if you need alone time, you do you, boo. This retreat is 100% what you need and want it to be. Spend as much or as little time with the group as you want.

I hear you, boo! Being nervous is 100% normal. I can promise you that you’ll meet lots of other cool people who are movement minded and down for a good laugh. And if you’ve been wanting to go on a vacation that nourishes you from top to bottom, inside to out, this is definitely it.


What's it like to travel with you?

Think of me as your nerdy party planner who is there to make sure you have an amazing time.

I will push you in class to work harder and laugh harder than you ever have and help you get deeply relaxed.

That being said, I also have 2763912 different variations for everything we do so that you have the best experience that feels right for you and your body.

And that’s the best part of being together in person! I can see how you’re moving and make changes in the moment so you can safe and strong in every exercise.

You can expect not to take anything too seriously – except the guacamole. Because that’s very important.

And I’m a recovering overachiever perfectionist.

I’m still a people pleaser, but in the last decade of fitness and wellness coaching, I’ve learned what strategies work to help me keep my cool, even when life is swirling like a hurricane around me.

I used to be the woman who numbed out with beer, chocolate, and mindlessly scrolling through social media.

And every time I saw someone else on an amazing vacation or exotic retreat, I always thought “must be nice”.

But then I went on a retreat. It wasn’t until the 3rd day,  standing in the sunshine, that I felt what it actually meant to be relaxed for the first time in my life.

Sure, I was practicing #selfcare when I remembered, but the tiny bit of relief it would bring paled in comparison to how I felt when I deliberately spent time doing what I wanted to do.
