Structurally Sound: Hips Glendale (11/4)

Saturday, November 4, 1:00p – 3:00p

Elevate Fitness Complex
3000 Dolores St.
Glendale, CA 90065

This workshop is 2 hours long. Bring your yoga mat.

The therapy balls work best on skin and tight-fitting sportswear (e.g. spandex or compression); please avoid wearing loose, billowy clothing.

Your hips carry you through your day in every action from walking, standing up, taking the stairs flamenco and your yoga practice. But for this critical joint, how much do you actually know about its function and possible dysfunction?

In this workshop, you’ll learn the basic mechanics of the coxofemoral joint (aka hip joint), including all soft and hard tissues that comprise it. An embodied exploration of all potential movements will also be explored. Whether you are recovering from an injury, want to have a better understanding of the hips, or are interested in improving strength and flexibility of the lower body, this workshop is for you.

No experience needed, just a willingness to explore novel movement in your body.

Therapy balls will be provided to use during the workshop – no experience required and all levels welcome.
