How long will it take to start feeling better?

Most Mavens report feeling better within the first few weeks. And this is for pain that’s been around for a few months to a few years.

When you start incorporating self-massage, stretching, and smarter strengthening, your body responds quickly.

But it will require consistency on your part.

Our most successful members start out doing their plan 3x a week and completing one mobilization (therapy ball exercise) and one activation (strength-building exercises) for one of their body areas.

This means it will take you less than 15-mins a day to complete and YES, that is enough. Being more strategic with your exercises allows you to pinpoint exactly what’s working so you can double down on that. Not just trying fifty billion different things and hoping one of them works.

What equipment will I need?

To get the most out of the program, you’ll need a pair of therapy balls (about the size of a tennis ball) and a 20” diameter air-filled ball.

Equipment that would be nice to have, but not a requirement, is a set of blocks and some weights like dumbbells or kettlebells (for our Garage Party Workouts).

All of the workouts are best done barefoot in a yoga mat sized space.

That being said, you’ll get the best results, especially with the bodywork and self-massage, with tools that were specifically designed for the body.

Is this just more stretching?

Nope! If stretching was the bee’s knees, you wouldn’t be here.

You know how you stretch, but then everything tightens up again in the next few days? It’s because stretching doesn’t re-train your brain and body how to move together without reaggravating the injured area.

Muscles feel “tight” because they’re bracing against overuse, underuse, misuse or a history of injury.

If you just keep stretching without addressing the underlying cause of the tension – you’ll be stuck doing the same boring stretches again and again without creating any lasting change.

What’s the best way to incorporate Movement Mavens into what I’m already doing?

For some of our members, Movement Mavens and the new workouts you get every month are all they focus on. Others combine it with weight training and workouts they’re already doing to help their body recover faster and continue to work on improving posture and movement.

When you join, you’ll figure out where you are on the Path to Becoming a Body Detective, which will give you a crystal clear idea of what you should be focusing on to move you closer to pain-free, every day.

For example, if you’re just starting out and have daily aches or pains, you’re at the ALPHA Brain level. At this level, your focus is getting your AmplifyU Plan customized (which you’ll learn how to do during our Live AmplifyU Training), and to work on perfecting your squat and hip hinging technique.

If you already have a solid workout habit established, I recommend you do your AmplifyU Plan before or after your workouts. This will help you get into the habit of doing daily body maintenance by pairing it with an already established habit.

Another way to incorporate your AmplifyU Plan is at the end of the workday. This will help your body (and mind) unwind from the stress of being on the computer all day and give you a ceremonial end to your work – which is super challenging when you’re working from home.

You still can do other workout classes but now you’ll know how to move smarter to avoid injury and get stronger than ever.

Either way, in less than 15-mins a day, you’ll be working on strength, stability, and flexibility to get you closer to feeling like yourself again…without pain.

Will this replace my chiropractor and PT?

I support seeing a chiropractor or PT 100% when you need it (which for me is 1-2 times a year). But depending on them for regular maintenance is like going to your dentist weekly for a cleaning instead of brushing your teeth.

Your AmplifyU Plan is a proactive plan for pain – you’re already ahead of the ball and actively working on restoring your core, fixing your posture, and unlocking your tension.
