The Body Nerd Garage is a weekend of movement magic for people who want to wake up pain-free, every day.

WHAT YOU’LL GET

A personalized action plan to get you stronger and out of pain, ASAP

No more second guessing if you’re doing it “right” or if you’ll hurt yourself in the process. This is the weekend you need if you are frustrated and fed up with always being injured. You’ll learn exactly what self-care exercises you should be doing on a regular basis and how to use them effectively to get you out of pain, ASAP. Figure out why you’ve started and stopped a million and a half times and how to build an unshakable self-care routine that is 100% habit.

Confidence in HOW and WHY you move

Understand the mechanics behind the movements so you can get stronger without hurting yourself and apply them to any workout class, video or training. Learn how to move your body safely so you have the confidence to try any new movements without fear of injury.

Self-care strategies that work

From self-massage to Breathwork – you’ll get a variety of scientifically proven tools to help you unwind and stop feeling like a burnt piece of toast. Don’t like meditation? No problem – there’s no right way to chill out and you’ll learn a variety of self-care tools to add to your toolbox so no situation leaves you stressed out and feeling helpless again.

This is Drivers Ed for your body:  you’ll get all the tools, strategies and hacks so you can fly solo

The body doesn’t come with a manual – but by the end of this weekend, you will not only understand your body basics but also be well on your way to having the strength and confidence to do anything you want, whenever you want.

 

SCHEDULE

Saturday

10 am – 5 pm

Meet the movement minded friends you’ve been looking for! We’ll plan out the 5 unique things you should be doing on a regular basis that will actually help you touch your toes or nail that pull up.

We’ll also unravel the mindset needed to get you unstuck and on the path to pain-free days. There’s a reason why you’ve stopped and started meditating, moving and self-care a million times – we’ll get to the bottom of it so you can start (and stay) with your new movement habits.

We’ll cap off the day with a Breathwork session, where you’ll be guided through a breathing technique that is sure to create more balance and harmony in your body. If you are feeling stuck (energetically or otherwise) or stressed, this session will give you the deep relaxation and greater mental clarity you’ve been dreaming of.

Sunday

10 am – 5 pm

We’ll dive into how to get stronger over the next 90 days. From how to do basic strengthening moves in the best way possible (for your body) and put them together for a fun, and challenging class.

Now, if you’re thinking, “Well Alex, this all sounds amazing, but I am dealing with an injury of XY or Z”, we’ve got you covered.

Not only will everything we do be tailor made just to you, on Sunday afternoon we’ll be joined by my genius friend and Doctor of Physical Therapy, Dr. Sarah Court, who will share with us her best practices for how to deal with aches and pains and how to help yourself feel better every day.

Healthy snacks and drinks are provided all weekend.

Swag bags are going to be BOMB.

And you know we’ll be talking about all the chocolate chip cookie recipes I’ve been testing over the last few weeks. 😉

My name is Alex and I teach people how to get out of pain and get stronger and more flexible at the same time. My teaching and studies focus on injury prevention, rehabilitation and wellness, inspired by my studies at UC Davis where I earned a BS in Exercise Biology. I have made it my life’s mission to better understand how the body works to help you take back control of your self-care, strength, and injury recovery. I will teach you how to be the expert of you and how to be confident in your skin and confident and trusting of your body.
