Downward facing dog is a great pose that lengthens the backs of the legs (hamstrings, calf muscles, and Achilles’ tendons), opens through the chest (pecs, deltoids and rotator cuff) and offers you the benefit of an inversion (clearer sinus cavities, increased blood flow to the brain and relief of organ pressure caused by gravity).
