I have a confession – I don’t stretch on a regular basis. 😱

We can all agree that stretching is good for maintaining flexibility, so why don’t I do it? First of all, I am hypermobile, aka my body is inherently flexible beyond normal ranges already. For me, stretching exacerbates my already overly bendy joints.

Now, if you haven’t been cursed with hyper flexibility (or are “double jointed”) then you should probably consider stretching on a more regular basis. Stretching will help improve your sleep, help your posture, and may be just what you need to finally get rid of that nagging lower back pain.

But how do you know if you’re doing it right when stretching hurts so much!?

If you’re someone who leaves the gym immediately after working to avoid stretching completely – this one is for you. Check out this week’s live in the Pain-Free. Every Day FB group for tips and tricks on what to do instead of basic stretching when it isn’t helping.
